In 2024, Fountain Church entered a new chapter—one shaped by a clear call from God to become a church truly fit for purpose in this season. The launch of our seventeen Home Churches, affectionately known as WELLs, was not just a programme or initiative, but a prophetic response to where God is leading us.
The experience of lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic exposed how fragile our rhythms of gathering could be. It stirred within us a renewed conviction: the church must be more than a Sunday event—it must be a resilient, connected, Spirit-led community that thrives in every season. Out of that revelation came a deep desire, and divine direction, to create a structure where meaningful relationships and authentic fellowship could flourish beyond the four walls of a building.
The WELLs were birthed with this heart in mind—a longing to see every person in our church family experience real community, life-giving connections, and spiritual growth. They reflect the rhythm of the early church in Acts, where believers met in homes, broke bread together, prayed, shared all things in common, and saw God add to their number daily.
From the very beginning, these gatherings have been marked by powerful testimonies: stories of renewed hunger for the Word, restored relationships, discovery of spiritual gifts, and bold steps of faith. People are not just attending church—they’re being the church. In smaller, relational settings, faith becomes tangible and discipleship becomes personal. We’re seeing what it means to walk with one another, carry one another’s burdens, and grow together in unity and love.
Week after week, the atmosphere in our WELLs has been one of joy, honesty, and deep spiritual engagement. Testimonies are shared. Prayers are lifted. Meals are eaten. The Word is explored together. In many homes, new friendships have been formed, accountability has deepened, and a hunger for God’s presence has grown.
Just as the early believers in Acts lived generously—sharing as each had need—we’ve witnessed that same spirit of selflessness emerge across our WELLs. It’s a powerful reminder that revival is not just marked by crowds and miracles, but by hearts knit together in love, sacrifice, and shared pursuit of Christ.
Pastor Peter taught a series at the launch of the WELLS - "The Prologue to Revival", that set the tone and emphasised that unity and genuine love are not optional—they are essential for any true move of God. The WELLs have become a vital expression of that truth. They are preparing the ground not only for personal transformation but also for the harvest we believe is coming.
Already, friends, neighbours, and colleagues have been welcomed into WELLs, encountering the love of Christ in ways that feel personal and accessible. And we believe this is just the beginning. Our prayer is that through these home churches, the Gospel will spread with boldness, faith will rise, and Ashford—and the regions beyond—will witness a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit.
The WELLs aren’t a side project—they are a prophetic step into the kind of church we are becoming. A church that is resilient. Relational. Revival-ready.
